In 2014, my life came crashing down. Alcoholism, an expensive cocaine habit, and a series of truly poor decisions brought me to the darkest place I’ve ever known. My only choices were to kill myself, or try to get help. I knew it was time to stop running from God. On September 29, 2014, I fell to my knees and surrendered my life to Jesus. By His grace, I’ve been clean and sober since that very moment. The following week, I moved to Charlotte, NC to start a new life.
In time, I began to realize how selfish it would be to keep this miracle to myself. God lit a fire in my soul and put a vision in my heart to inspire today's generation to live for Him. He's all that matters. (Trust me, I've tried everything else.)
The mission is simply to "cultivate the Kingdom."
The vision is an outdoor church
The CLT in the logo stands for Charlotte (where this crazy journey began), and the triangle represents change. Because that's what God does - He changes us.
In the spirit of honesty, I still feel unworthy. Just 3 years ago, I was snorting cocaine off toilet seats. And now the Lord wants me to cultivate His kingdom? Surely He picked the wrong guy! But I’m going for it.
On August 1, 2017, I felt a strong pull to leave my worldly possessions and pursue this mission with all my heart. So I did. No home, no salary, just faith.
I now live out of my truck in Oregon, just serving whoever God puts in my path, trusting that God will provide, and working diligently toward this crazy, awesome, challenging mission.
CLTIVATE is a journey – it’s the relentless pursuit of God himself. (Galatians 5:25)
